Zach launched his career in 2017 after earning his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky. With a strong foundation in athletic performance, he has quickly emerged as a leading strength and conditioning coach, honing his expertise across various athletic levels, from youth to professional.
Specializing in speed development and plyometric training, Zach's focus on vertical jump enhancement has yielded remarkable results, particularly evident in the progress of numerous high school and collegiate athletes under his guidance.
As a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator, Zach extends his training prowess to diverse sectors, including military personnel, police officers, and firefighters, demonstrating his adaptability and versatility in optimizing performance across different domains.
Zach's athlete roster boasts an expanding list of collegiate athletes, with a notable presence in major athletic universities, spanning disciplines such as soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse.

The phrase “Ruck Up” means to get through a tough time. Ruck Up is the light that you are given when facing the dark tunnel of adversity. Ruck Up is built upon the concept of being in your face, intimidating and intense. A mentality that can be adopted into any task you apply yourself too. It isn’t a brand, it is a lifestyle choice or simply a push. These songs are what define Ruck Up to me, the founder of Ruck Up. Heavy guitars, heavy beats, in your face songs that are meant to played at break neck decibels. This ever-growing playlist is meant to be played during training, before a game, before work, during work, during a practice. You think cliche “workout songs” cut it when you are pushing through a tough time in your life or sport? Grab the bull by the f**king horns, crank this up to max level and strap in.

“Ruck Up” in military terms is defined as “to get through a particularly challenging time”. When I founded Ruck Up Sports Performance I was in a dark place in my life, challenging is an understatement. I used that term as a repeating message in my head to push forward. I learned when you are in a dark place the world doesn’t care about how you feel or what situation you’re in. I used the term as my business name to forever remind myself of where I came from when I started the business. Now every challenge I face can’t be as bad as where I was when I started RUSP. A reminder for all the athletes I train as well, days will only get easier if you keep pushing through when its the hardest.
